We were first introduced to Bitcoin by Tim ‘Bitcoin King’ Draper back when it was trading around $30.😳 In those days, we were neither pro nor anti Bitcoin—but we shared Drape’s enthusiasm for the decentralized innovation model it represented. We finally went public with ur first ‘Buy Bitcoin’ signal in 2020 after watching BTC drop 37% to $4,970 on March 13, 2020—‘Black Thursday’— when the COVID-19 lockdown was declared —only to watch it zoom back to $9,000 by May during very uncertain times. This rise was all the push we needed to buy-in to the ‘digital gold,’ ‘safe haven’ and ‘hedge against all global sh*t-breaking-loose’ Bitcoin thesis. So we gave BTC the big 👍🏼 at $9,182 on May 20, 2020.
On October 6, 2025, at the top of what we consider the ‘Trump Crypto Bump,’ BTC reached its all-time high at $126,198. Since then, BTC has experienced a precipitous 45% drop.😳 During this same period, the tech-heavy NASDAQ, after experiencing a huge run-up after the first tariff scare stock dump last April, has been basically flat since its peak on October 29, 2025. Perhaps most concerning to BTC holders is that the price of gold has risen roughly 29% since October 2025, from $3,950 to $5,065.
The first tariff scare drove the Dow to 38,000, only to see it swing back to the top 50,000 faster than any economists has forecasted. Bogeyman-style tariffs must be understood as part of a broader supply-side framework that combines income tax cuts, deregulation (e.g., crypto and AI development), energy independence, and trade enforcement—the four engines of economic growth. We believe that high-quality cryptos have been disproportionately hit by this new round of tariff hysteria.

An immaculate conception
Superior ‘network effects’ have miraculously driven Bitcoin from niche tech experiment to institutional asset in just 16 years. Bitcoin’s user base, transaction volume, and growing Wall Street and Corporate BTC holdings continue to explode. There are now 11 firms managing close to $100 billion in Spot BTC/ETH ETFs, including blue-chip firms like BlackRock, Fidelity, and Franklin Templeton, and 190+ public corporations (e.g., Tesla, Block, and Strategy) have adopted BTC treasuries.
As we see it, there’s only one event that could deeply diminish Bitcoin and stablecoins: a true digital USD. We shall save that important discussion for a future Rap—but don’t say we didn’t give you the heads up.

In December 2006, renowned rapper Nas released his eighth studio album, Hip Hop Is Dead, calling out the fact that the essence of hip-hop—its originality, social commentary, and artistic integrity—was suffocating under corporate commercialism. The music studios prioritize monoculture and formulaic sounds over the raw and authentic storytelling that defined the ‘golden age’ of hip-hop. Nas says ‘hip-hop is dead because artists no longer have the power,’ which, 20 years later, is the primary power imbalance that the Web3 movement is busy correcting through the tokenization of content and artist ownership.

Old-world music industry math was brutal: artists historically see ~12–20% of streaming revenue after labels, publishers, and distributors take their cut. On-chain solutions allow 80–95% of the revenue to go straight to the creator, with immutable provenance proving ‘I made this, I own this, I get paid every time it spins.’
Are Nas’s warnings about the absence of hip-hop’s original raw and authentic storytelling being addressed? Nope.
The decline of the influence of the Hollywood establishment TV and film studios, music labels, theaters, and awards shows continues to accelerate. The industry math shows that stale and unoriginal content, franchise fatigue, and formulaic storytelling are the core issues killing the Film and TV business.
Billie and Finneas are keeping it real
At only 24 years old, Billie Eilish is already a record-breaking musician (ukulele, guitar, and piano) and singer-songwriter who writes and co-produces most of her music with her brother, Finneas O’Connell. Ms. Eilish’s popularity stems from her natural vocal ability, often described as an ethereal and whispery soprano, her deep resonance with younger women, bold aesthetics, and viral breakthroughs like her SoundCloud start.
Ms. Eilish’s fan base is 65-70% teens and mid-20s women active on platforms like TikTok and Instagram who resonate with her lyrical themes on mental health, self-identity, and expression.
The math also shows the popular (i.e., hip-hop and R&B) music industry has been decaying at its artistic core since the turn of the millennium. Almost 100% of the Billboard Hot 100 incorporates some form of Auto-Tune or Melodyne pitch correction. Around 85-95% of the Hot 100 songs are also not supported by instrumentalists or real bands—using software synths, samples, and tiresome electronic beats instead. Only a small fraction (e.g., rock or country crossovers) emphasize authentic vocals. And, like film and TV, popular music storytelling has hit rock bottom through its vulgarity and preying on women as sexual objects.
The other reality chipping away at the establishment’s power is the infinite array of content choices people have outside Hollywood. The 18- to 34-year-old young adult crowd split their viewing time as follows: 60% on streamers (Netflix, Disney+, etc.), 15% on YouTube, and 20% on TikTok. The shorter-form video content and social media platforms prioritizing accessibility and virality over complexity— remain major drivers in the decline of our youth’s mental health.
